VIDEO: CARROT Growing in SEE-THROUGH Container Time Lapse – Seed To Carrot in 100 Days

It took me 4 tries and 1,5 years to get this one somewhat right. Should have adjusted the camera angle a bit earlier but unfortunately there are no reshoots when you do these kind of timelapses 🙂

Bugs attacked the green parts again at day 26 but i managed to get rid of them. The tiny bugs in the soil i actually planted myself, they are parasitic nematodes (steinernema feltiae) that attack and eat fungus gnat larvae.

The first time i tried carrot they got eaten buy fungus gnat larvae, here’s the video:

  1. That was a fantastic example for a carrot growing, I really enjoyed seeing the rhizosphere in contrast with the photosphere. I would love to see a nice full rounded carrot though, perhaps I can suggest looking at your soil composition and doing a bit of Ph testing/nutrient testing to give the carrot the ideal environment.

  2. When you remove a carrot from the soil, you should immediately cut off the leaf parts. The plant produces hormones that tell it to send as many of the nutrients it has stored in the leaves from better chance of survival.
