  1. I watched this, sort of remembered mine. I don't have a big garden yet. Been planting vegetables on 2 balconies. I have to use fruit netting to cover the vegetables pots on the balconies. Lizards are eating the seedlings and left a few droppings here and there as evidence. At times too much work, I just spray some liquid mixture of minced garlic and dried chili (spicy garlicky) on the whole vegetables pots and have since managed to deter lizards pests plus some mealy bugs or spidermites. Glad to know some new tips. Been diligently checking some updates. Keep it up, Mark!

  2. Nice Mark. I have issues with wind blowing my garlic over, so this year I have sown them with 50×50 galv mesh on the ground and as they grow through it, I'll lift the mesh up to act as a support frame. First time doing this so hope it works and perhaps an idea for yourself if you have wind issues. No scrub turkey's here in Perth!

  3. All this exagerated rain fall must have been manipulated by geoengineering, therefore it is good to use raised beds otherwise you have to deal with a real seamp as a garden.

  4. Do yall have fire ants in Australia? I let a couple beds go wild/fallow for a season and now there is one with a VERY large and very persistent fire ant colony that has set up house. Ive tried the borax/sugar trick and it kinda seems to be working, but do you have any other ideas for bugs/ants/pests removal?

  5. Mark how do you suggest managing all the jobs and tasks in the garden? I homeschool 3 kids and run a business and gardening quickly becomes a run away train! I’m in West Woombye and want to find an app or something which tells me when seasonal jobs need to be done. Any suggestions? Thanks and love your channel!

  6. Yes! Our chickens keep digging up our garden every time I add compost or anything to the beds. They are a small breed and can jump/fly up about 2m so fences don't work. Thanks for the tips!

  7. I really love this channel, and would appreciate it if you made a video specifically on how to prevent a variety of harmful fungal infections that can kill plants, and thanks!

  8. Hi Mark, haven't watched all your vids but LOVE your content.. have you ever used "jiffy pots" or "peat pellets"?.. ive got a big box of both but haven't had much success with either.. also, how to decide which seeds to use with which type? (Pots or pellets)… would be interested in your take on it.. cheers!!
