The very first time I went to put together a bouquet for the farmers market, I had to do a google search to figure out what to do. But, now, 4 years later, I feel confident with the tricks I’ve picked up from the experts, and by experimenting with my personal style. I walk you through how to make a great bouquet everytime, no matter if you are using fresh local flowers from your garden, or cheap bunches you can pick up at the grocery store. Understanding the basics of how to make a spiral bouquet, and the elements that you are working with, means that the process is simple. I also share lots of tips I’ve picked up along the way, so make sure to watch till the end!

Love this video so much! I'm a complete newbie to boquet making and this was helpful. Your background in this video is beautiful.
This was very helpful. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and your joy. God bless.
You truly need to increase your prices! Easily $25 to $30. Don't sell yourself for cheap.
Great tips, I can never get enough filler together, and its awkward in my hand but its so rewarding. I usually do fixed arrangements not hand held, but I need to practice.
Thank you. This was new information to me!
Thank you so much. I love fresh flowers and buy and then growing season, I cut my own………..but, I have never known how to make a bouquet with the spiral technique. I loved the boho arrangement. Again, thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much — This was so informative. I am going to watch it when I make my 1st bouquets this spring. You make it look so easy.
You put flowers together and people pay money to buy them. I believe that makes you a professional. I love your bouquets and I love your videos. Y'all work so hard and I wish you ever more success.
Always great info!!!!!! Thank you
nice
Nice video, Serina. I’m sure it will be very helpful for people just starting out and give them a confidence boost.
Nice video, Serina. I’m sure it will be very helpful for people just starting out and give them a confidence boost.
Thank you. Cutting flowers has always been intimidating for me. This helps a lot.
Thanks!
lovely video but the background music is so unnecessary and very distracting
your true talent, is your honest giving through sharing. ❤ blessed❤
I always thought that you could never have flower stems out of water or you would irrevocably ruin them and they would not take up water again. Martha Stewart insists that you even cut them under running water so the ends are never exposed to water. You and other flower farmers often have the stems out in open air for quite a while. Does that affect the longevity of the flowers in a vase? Thank you!!
Thank you so much for this. I’m just getting into the world of flowers, when I realized last year I needed more pollinators for my veg garden. It’s definitely trial and error for me!
Amazing, such a difference from your early days. You teach very well. Freda
Loved this video. So useful and you did the guide explaning really Well. More of this kind of content plz 🙂
Interesting. I would've never guessed that you've been building your bouquets by spiraling them. And you should take off any leaves below the flower heads both so the stems are as long as possible (so the bouquet can be recut for freshness,) and not to contaminate the vase water. And spending $80. making 3 -$20 bouquets (=$60.) with as your say, to make 2 more (one of which is for yourself = $80., doesn't seem much of a win-win. Might as well buy $20. of supermarket flowers & call it a day.
I like how you cut off the blooms of some of those "bulk" mum flowers to gain greenery. And you have to already know that your flowers are far far better than everything you bought. In my opinion, the spray roses and the berry thing are the best of all of it. I realize and appreciate you did this video for the purpose of showing how you make your bouquets. You made them all look great. I am a little prejudice against mums, I never see them in good shape in the box stores. My disdain possibly stems from being pretty certain any mums available in the winter are from South American countries, but I see them ratty in every season in the U.S. To qualify, it's not an attitude of being against the South American countries, it's about appreciating the use of seasonal local flowers. Well done and thank you.
Great video.
Hypericum berries. Spikey – Protea and Orangy foliage bits are Alstromeria Lillies. They are fantastic when boomed out. Dont be afraid to raise your color up a little above your filler, let it jump out. Ive been a designer for more than 30 years. You do a very good job. Cant wait for your gardens to be overflowing!!!
