Oh these hot dogs, peppers and onions would be great to add some eggs for a hot breakfast or add rice for a quick dinner.

Every time I've watched one of your recent videos I keep getting thrown off by your baby chick sounds in the background. I have some in my bathroom right now and sometimes I think mine are getting rowdy and I pause to get up to check, but it stops when I pause. Ha ha. :p Baby chicks everywhere!
Just canned 6 jars of smoked sausage. 3 in links. 3 in slices. I will only do slices next time. Links swelled and split. Meat was a little mushy. The slices were great. I think they had plenty of room to expand and keep their moisture. My first time.
I'm thinking about trying bratwurst with cabbage, onions and peppers.
I was about to go mix Pentecost and chicken litter with soil for my raised beds, but oohhh, it's Patera! Had to watch.

I can’t find Fricks ham slices anywhere near me darn it. I have however canned hot dogs many times and even though I don’t like them everyone else does. Clear up freezer space and have a canning weekend!

I’ve been canning a long time. I’ve only ever done raw meat. I’ve never thought about processed or cured products. How will you serve the hotdogs? Is it an eat from jar kind of thing? Could you can them with a chili or pork and beans? I did 14 quarts of hamburger in the big AA yesterday. But I love using my tiny one also.
Loved this video I will try this!!! Question off subject I canned Black eyed peas soaked, cooked 30 min and added ham broth to the 1" head space. Processed 75 min at 14 pounds, the top peas are not in any liquid are they still good?

Just tried my hand at canning for the first time today. Nothing too taxing, just water bath canning. I had a #10 can of tomato paste that I got really inexpensively and had to open it for a recipe. The rest is being canned today. First batch is done and the 2nd batch is in the canner now. My 82yo dad has an old pressure canner that he is giving me next time I can make it for a visit. I think I'm really going to have fun with canning this year. Thanks for inspiring so many of us to keep busy and stock our pantries.
