We use to sell eggs,chicken,beef,and pork. This year we are raising for ourselves only. I tripled the size of my garden this year and not even going to put up a road side stand this year. Going to can,freeze,and dehydrate everything.

Ok, I did it again. CNBC has a real flashy graphic of empty store shelves with the header: Why The U.S. Is Running Out Of Everything …. so I clicked. My rationale…if goofy CNBC sees the problem then that's progress. What I learned is that the earf is running out of sand and rubber. And that we need to make positive changes to avoid more Global Weather Change.
I took the hit for you guys. Now I must disinfect my whole computer. Stock up on rubber and sand…and be progressive. Grrrr!

My parents lived through the depression and what we are living in sounds exactly like they used to talk about. We always had gardens, chickens, hogs and occasionally a beef cow. Getting back to a frugal lifestyle. Stocking up and getting prepared.

My brother is a independent driver. He says its at the point where may cost him to run his truck soon. Yesterday eggs at my store was $4.19 for 18 count.

Everything your saying is soooo true!!! Then look at the recalls that's been happening for just the last month on top of everything you've already mentioned!!! Eggs here in SW Missouri are over $4 per doz at Walmart, milk 2% is almost 4.20 per gallon (that's the store brand not the dairy brands like Hilland) here. Just yesterday a 1# pkg of regular strawberries was $4.44 in the store.
I live in WA state. We have chickens. Organic feed is $42 a bag, non organic is $25
