  1. I bought kaolin clay and I bought my first apples (which are both bare root). They’re both starting to flower. No pests/disease that I can tell and won’t give me fruit for a few years…. I wonder if I should still spray??

  2. My toy poodle (12 years old now) loves to dig up a carrot from the garden and eat it. She hasn't gotten into my asparagus bed yet. I love watching Tuck scouring through the food forest. All I can think is that if you had them both in your food forest, I don't think you would get much left for yourself. LOL

  3. i have started the journey. planted 5 tomato plants from lowes, and hundreds of seeds of lettuce, swiss chard, bell peppers , day before yesterday. i even planted potatoes from some sprouting eyes. my plot is small but if it produces well it will be more than i can eat. i had a mountain of compost from dumping leaves every year in the back yard which i raked out into a 20X20 foot bed about a foot deep. its like a raised garden without the sides.

  4. 'We get to do this' is so accurate. Whole cold winter I was getting overwhelmed at work and was loosing it. And theese days I'm so good. People ask me what's changed and I tell them 'After this I get to go home and plant my garden'. The best therapy there is 🙂
