I don't know if you've made a video about this already, but I'd love to know how you cut costs in the garden. My circumstances are a bit different than yours. I live in the desert in the US. I find that the cost of soil and water makes gardening more expensive than the grocery store. I love my armenian cucumbers, which aren't available in the store, but it would definitely be cheaper to just buy regular old cucumbers. I've started composting, so I hope that helps.
Long time watching but first time to ever comment. Great to hear your story. I think it's highly underestimated how beneficial it is to have one person at home, doing the life admin, looking after home and garden and childcare. A productive person at home saves $$ and incalcuable stress on the family in general.

Its exhausting for everyone the work and kids shes lucky she had you it is perfect one regardless who can hold home intact!!! Congratulations for ur success…in usa most don't realize the taxes they pay often are what the other one of the parents would make, you have do the math on taxes , fuel, and other costs that second person employed actually is and if its worth it…especially with child care and stress having non parent taking up so much of the role of parents…

Beetroot stems and leaves are nutritious and in some countries they are expensive. They can be cooked like spinach and bok choy.
Hey, making money / saving money is a great and valid reason to start this – I think most people on the internet do things to make money, but they come up with some rubbish to disguise the fact, so you being totally open works.
Thanks Mark! I did wonder how you injured yourself and guess you were very lucky to have such a good surgeon to attend to your wound and care from your family! I do know how long it takes to get established when growing fruit and veg for the family and there is only two of us and we just grew what we ate the most of. I enjoyed growing our own food and although it is a challenge and cost wise, but the beauty of it is you know what goodness has gone into that fruit and veg and its so fresh plus you just go and pick what you need to cook for the day. You have my admiration and respect. I love to see couples switch it up. Men are just as good at raising a family as a woman and women are just as good at earning a living as a man. My brother was a stay at home dad after he was diagnosed with epilepsy. His wife went back to school, and got a degree for a higher paying job.
As long you do what makes you happy. I for one am glad you started a youtube channel. The tips and tricks I have learned from you I had applied in my own garden all the way across the world here in the states.
I have recently started to make more homemade things like soap. People don't think about where soap comes from or how it's made. I know what goes into my soap and what I am cleaning my skin with that are just as good and maybe better than store bought soap. I make my own laundry soap, and dish soap. It's just one more skill I have learned. A simple soap will cost you less made at home. I made a special batch of mosquito repelling soap this past week and gave some it away as gifts to friends and family. One batch can make up to 16 bars of soap and costs around $ 8.00 US to make. Buying soap in a store can cost about $2.00 per bar. I made 10 gallons of laundry soap for about $5.00. I learned to make my own essentail oils from orange and lemon peels. I learn hot and cold process soaps. I learned how to use a pressure pot and started making a preserving my own foods. I learned how to make cheese and how to process and preserve my own wild caught meat. We learned how to mill and make our own lumber. I learned how to make resin- tar from tree sap. There are literally thousands of things you can do to cut the cost of living. These days having the knowledge to make things and then passing on that knowledge to someone else is one of life's many treasures.
