If you don’t want to spend an arm and a leg on a new IBC yoj can buy them used thag have NOT been used for chemicals. My dad often purchased molasses and apple cider vinegar for our grass fed cattle heard a number of years ago

I've never understood the concern about eating onions and garlic and their effect on the breath. It's a great smell for me. If someone won't eat them on a first date I know that person is not for me. I like a lot of onion and garlic in my life. If people say it's a bad thing, they aren't my tribe. Why would I want to go out with someone who will mock and downplay and judge me negatively for my favorite things? I don't mind if they're like that, you do you boo, they just aren't my tribe. Not for me.
So I'm NOT the only one in the world that will eat an onion like an apple. Lol

Your onions were actually an inspiration to me, I cannot grow onions for the 4th consecutive year. So well done! Love the garden video as well, I needed this! Can you at some point do a generic video on your income fro your farming ventures? You have a lot of projects happening that we would love to do but are not getting the same result financially as you excluding your videos. Second idea, is your financial plan for your cattle operation when that kick in. Either or both would be great! Thanks in advance!

Jess they say the moles and voles don't like those worly gig do dads because of them vibrating the ground. I've put them up all in my gardens and they work! Used to I'd have holes all in my gardens.

The IBC tote idea Miah had is what my husband and I have been doing for our pigs! We have the Premier one and an Ibc tote caged with and empty cage on the bottom to support it. Then my husband fills another tote with our well and tractors it over and pumps it into the pig tote. We are technically off grid right now and that's whats been working for us. He can move the pig tote with the tractor from spot to spot. Then we also use an empty Ibc for a pig house lol
I grew up eating onions raw. My mom said she used to keep onions in a bottom cupboard and at 6 mths I kept getting into them and would take take a bite from each one so she had to move them. I still like me an onion an butter sandwich

I was wondering how deep are your raised beds? I think I need to make mine deeper but wasn't sure by how much. Also, you mentioned in another video that you might be carmelizing some of your onions before freezing, do you have instructions on doing that? Do you use a crock pot or just a large pot on the stove. I am pulling my onions also because they started going to flower like yours did, it has been too warm here, and like the idea of doing that to mine before freezing. Thank you for any suggestions you may have.
Neither here nor there, but I was at a pizza joint earlier today and my friend ordered a salad that came with some pungent red onions. I didn't realize that so i spent 4 terrifying minutes of thinking i needed deodorant.
It seems everyone no matter where they are based are struggling with onions bolting this year. So good to see you talk about how to still get the most out of the harvest. I saw a video recently about vole pressure and they were planting daffodils on the margins of their garden to deter voles naturally. It might be the prettiest pest deterant I've heard of.
