  1. I know you're busy Patara but if you can find the time, could you put up a video of pressure canning on a fire? I'm about to build a firepit in my backyard with bricks that we bought more than 10 years ago. I want to learn how to pressure can over fire in case of a power outage. I have a small chest freezer full of meat and frozen veggies that I will need to can if the freezer is no longer an option. I did see your video on waterbath canning and thank you for that. We're staying busy. We are dehydrating onions right now. Going to pick up some things from the store when my husband gets home.

  2. Yes, God is in control. He also gives us common sense and gives us discernment on how to address current issues going on. We need to take care of everything He has blessed us with. You are absolutely right.

  3. A good thing is that the situation simplifies life in that you don't worry about crap that doesn't matter. Just concerned about real things and values. It feels weary these days but I think I'll walk over to the DG and add to my seed collection. It's a comfort to know that others are dealing with things too so I appreciate this video. We all do the best we can.

  4. Has anyone else in Middle TN heard loud booms once a day for a little over a week now? Me and my neighbors hear it once a day. It sounds like it’s an explosion of some kind. We all said it sounds like something crashed into our roof. Anyone ever heard of something like this?

  5. Appreciate this video. You are so right, we need some down time off and on too. We can't constantly continue everything we need to do without it. For our mental health too.

  6. Thank you for all your words of wisdom and guidance and encouragement to keep moving forward. May the Good Lord sustain us each day and guide us on this journey. And Put your Armour on daily we need it as the attacks of evil in the word and heavenlies continue to come at us.

  7. Did $140 Stock up Preparedness to Stock up at Walgreens and Wal-mart Friday and Saturday when I saw the Stock Market Crashing on Friday so I took action to get more prepared

  8. Yup, I'm exhausted. I woke up yesterday and said to myself. That's it, I'm done, I just don't have it in me to do more. I gave myself the morning off, then I went out and got more things I know I'm going to need. Today I'm back at it working the homestead. We keep going because we have to. Thanks for the encouragement.

  9. I want you to know that in Newton N.C. the trucks are still running. I had to go out today so I paid attention to the trucks. Gas is 5.43 for hi-test. I bought non- Ethanol gas for 4.99 for 9/10 of a gallon. I have ran all day today. Dr. Tractor Supply, gas station, pharmacy, Sheets, and the Bojangles for breakfast. ThenI went to Dollar General, and Food Lion, then to my daughters to drop food off, then drop off Scratch Grains for the hens at my son's house. So I'm going to rest a little while, I'm having surgery on June 27th, Right hip replaced, but I'm trying to get ahead before I'm down . Shirley

  10. O Young lady I do know what is coming. I seen the visions. I am prepped and have plenty of ammo( I don't like guns but I don't like thieves more). I hear you load and clear. Saying none knows is pushing it as I know as I have seen the visions to come.

  11. During the Great Depression they wanted you to live. To day off s different. During the depression neighbors helped one another. Today most don't know their neighbors or extended family. Do your best?

  12. hi Patara found your channel from Mary @ southernAsmr sounds. do you have a video on where to start? what to stock up first if new

  13. Help! I realized I had water glassed three dozen eggs in salt for pickling rather than pickling lime, they have been in that water mixture for three weeks. I took the eggs out of that and want to put them in the correct mix but is it too late?

  14. The cold stark fact is we will have to build micro communities. I have about 30 friends that I try to get off the couch and into a reality check. About 5 of them have been inspired to get food, water, first aid etc., But the rest are only being made aware by my comments. I think when it comes down hard they at least might do something for their survival. Lets hope.

  15. Woke up March of 2020. Saw grown men fighting for the last roll of toilet paper in the grocery store. Every day is a blessing in times of plenty but you are right, slow and steady. Thanks to you and James.
