I walked around my shed where I had lots of material on a couple of saw horses . The storm the night before caused them to collapse . I started looking around for a grass hopper . I needed to sort and organize. I had been putting off this task . This mess had to be taken care of right then .This had to be done so I could start an addition Which needed to be started ages ago . Talk about motivation . No grass hopper.
I just moved my kids from a public charter school to a private school. School hasn’t started yet, but I was told that they teach in a traditional way and still believe in putting a pencil to paper. Kids learn easier that way vs always on a computer. There is something about physically writing something down that connects to the brain. Your Nana probably had those recipes memorized but wrote them down to pass them on. There’s also something amazing about seeing handwriting that you recognize.
