Only thing I've picked so far in south western Indiana is cucumbers. Had tons of flowers on my zucchini plants but no one fruited. Have 6 plants. Green beans have some blooms, but not green beans yet.

Patara, have you tried Market Wagon in our Knoxville area? I order every month on a budget; only whold foods / tomatoes, peppers, onions, milk, etc. It''s been great meeting our local farmers through Market Wagon. I'm in Roane and get deliveries on Thursdays. I thought a couple of years ago, "create a relationship with your local farmers." Market wagon is all over the U. S. A great resource for all; especially those who do not have time to go to / find farmers' or flea markets.
I know my little container garden isn't going to feed me but I'm doing it because Patera said learn how to grow something. I'm glad I'm learning something new, but I agree with her that I've already spent more than what I'm going to get out of it. Just hoping that I learn enough that it goes better next year.
Love the 90s country music. I just came back from a 4 day country music festival called Blame My Roots. Dierks Bentley and band all dressed up in 90s clothes sang 90s Hot Country, it was a great show! Nice flashback music. Last year they had Jo Dee Messina, Neal Mccoy, Miranda Lambert. You should come to it next year, it's not that far from you, in Ohio, I just live 20 mins from it. Bring an RV, primitive camping, or hotel room.

My squash plants are green as ever beautiful plants and no squash of any sort. I wanted to make zucchini cake and relish and jam . Maybe if mine don’t make someone will bless me with some.
