  1. My wife and I are Cherokee and live in a Cherokee Community. We are in our 70's. We do our best to do all we can to take care of ourselves. We have a large garden and are canning and freezing food everyday. I noticed this year that my wife is having a more difficult time doing all that she does (which is a lot). We have had serious talks the last couple of weeks about our 3 children who are successful and live out of state. We have tried to hire someone to help us but no one seems to want to do farm chores. (DON'T KNOW WHY). We have come to the conclusion it is time to let our 3 children know things are getting harder for us. It is very hard as independent people to ask for help from anyone. If there are elderly living around you please note what I have said then if you want to help just check and visit with them. If you take time to visit you will soon learn their needs if you are able and want to help the. May God Bless you Patars and James for bringing this up about the elderly. And Bless all who take the time to listen to those who are having some type of difficulty during these troubling times.

  2. I know this is totally off subject but sometimes I get sidetracked and watch decorating shows. Some of these people seem so out of touch. It drives me crazy! I cannot believe they are talking about buying all these expensive pumpkins and fancy-schmancy things when our economy and food is dwindling rapidly! These are the kind of people that are going to get smacked straight in the face when STHF happens. Does this drive anyone else crazy? Maybe it’s just me being an oh cranky old woman! Lord have mercy common sense has flown out the window! How in the world has Americans become so ignorant? OK rant over.. Love you Patra!

  3. Cost of Home, Car, Health Insurance is up aboutr 30%. Over $1,200health deductable every year right off the bat, not to mention, monthly cost. Choose between meds and food.

  5. My 87 yr old father moved in with me earlier this year. It’s not just prices, it’s also how confusing and intimidating everything has become for the elderly.

  6. I wouldn’t make it now if it wasn’t for all of us living together. Three of my daughters, one grandson, and one granddaughter on the way. None of us could make it on our own, but together we are strong and building a new life.

  7. I know this is the wrong video for this comment but I can't find the right one so hear we go. My grandma was a little girl during the great depression and I asked her one time what she remembered about living through that. And she told me she couldn't remember a lot about it but she said the thing she remembered the most was grasshoppers. She said they were everywhere even in her bed. She told me that to this day she hated grasshoppers. I'm not sure why but I just wanted to share that with you. I just found your videos yesterday and I will now subscribe to them. I enjoy them very much.

  8. I'm pretty sure we will become a multi generational household soon as my hubbies father will most likely have to live with us if his rent goes up. I'm just waiting on our oldest to call to come home as I know he is having a really hard time with his business just paying bills. These are certainly close to depression times.

  9. Good message! It is good to store up treasure in Heaven. It is close to God’s heart to care for widows, the fatherless, the poor and oppressed. Blessings from Canada!
