Texan here. The state put out a preparedness website focusing on having enough for at least 3 days for weather or other types of disaster. Our power grid can’t handle the heat and we know it can’t handle the cold. I have a terrible feeling theyre trying to tell us to get ready for the long haul now before it gets here. Farmers almanac says January will be heavy snow and freezing. I’m so thankful for a husband that listened and acted when I told him we need to get ready for worse after the ice apocalypse happened

Here in the uk, in my area blackberry’s normally ripen towards the end of august and early September. This year there are loads ready now. I think winter is going to be tough based on the blackberry’s. I know that’s mental… perhaps there’s a little bit of a gut feeling in there too.
