VIDEO: We're Going Nocturnal!?!

The temperatures are going up, and this weeks farmers market will be a scorcher. It always complicates the harvesting when you do it during the heat of the day, so we are flipping the clock, switching to night shifts, and going nocturnal to make this market happen. There are so many amazing flowers this week, and no shortage of beautiful arrangements, but will the customers show up to the farmers market and make the week worthwhile? Well, that’s what you are watching the video to find out. Don’t forget to like and comment down below. Let me know if you actually read this far in the description, I assume that nobody every reads this far.

  1. I would buy a big bunch of the same flower, same color. Ie: pink larkspur or purple statice. I never see you do that.
Perhaps I’m a gardener and not a florist and just love the impact of lots of the same beauties in one vase. I do enjoy watching you. I was surprised it doesn’t cool down for you at night, being so close to the beach.
You are so brave and tough to withstand the heat snd bugs, all for the glory of what you grow. Bravo!

  2. For those that can't get enough of this channel, Serena introduced us to her friend Nicole from Flowerhill Farm in one of her videos way back, and she is doing incredible work and awesome videos too!

  3. So, let me get this straight. These folks are basically free, (after the Saturday market closes at 1 pm) until Thursday afternoon or evening when they have to start harvesting flowers for the Saturday market. What do both Serena and Ian do on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and all day Thursday? They haven’t cleaned their buckets for following Saturday market for 5 days since they were last used on Saturday? They just left the fresh flower bouquets that were not sold last Saturday lying around in the buckets to dry without hanging them up? What do these two do 4 days in a week other than maybe make a few bouquets for the storefront outside their home? How long does that take? Either Serena is too slow making those bouquets and harvesting, or Ian is just loitering around taking cute video poses of Serena holding the harvested flowers or just a ton of precious time is wasted doing nothing.
Most other flower farmers on YouTube do their own harvesting singlehandedly, videotaping singlehandedly, making bouquets singlehandedly, doing the market in person singlehandedly and seem to have no issues with time management like these two. What are you doing wrong Serena and Ian? Please address this question in Monday’s vlog. Thanks.

  4. Have you considered including single variety bunches in your offerings ? This is what I always buy at our FM here in northern California -I make my own arrangements using FM flowers and fillers or woodies from my own garden. I would think cranking out bouquets of 10 or 12 stems of the same flower would be really fast and maybe give you another price point option-i.e. 10 stems of snaps for 10$ and basically a 5 minute bouquet for Serena. You could do some fillers too which could be less stems.

  5. Look forward to seeing your videos for a recap of your week! In addition to your amazing bouquets- I enjoy the quality of your videos- the snipping even is to the best of the music! Keep up the great work!
