I think some of it is just reflection and missing my mom, and you’re just so motherly. Alas, keep on going and I hope your days are lovely
Jess i forgot the other comment i was going to make: a suggestion, for harvesting purposes, gather all your baskets, maybe scour your thrift stores for extra cheap ones: hang them on your trellis, fence posts all around. When you use them to bring in a harvest make sure you stick them by whatever door you generally go through to take back out. Just habit yourself to take them back out right away.
yup I have that issue!!! trying not to drop my harvest because i didnt bring a basket. Usually because I'm not intending to harvest, just keeping in touch with my garden, then all kinds of fruit and veges beckon to me.
Hummingbirds come to my balcony everyday. No feeder. They love my flowers esp basil that flowers

You have inspired me to try again with broccoli. Ours would never come to anything, but our plot is very open and sunny. I will find a shader corner and give them a go! Thanks Jess
