This is such fantastic news! Congratulations to you and your son! I think a lot of the "hang up" about homeschooling is the parent/ child relationship. Parents are having a hard enough time getting their children to get off the tablet and clean up their rooms. I think parents are afraid to become the teacher because they are not used to taking on that role. They are afraid or know the child will push back to much. In that case I would look at joining a co-op or hiring a teacher to come into your home. I homeschool a special needs child, and I go daily to their home to provide care and instruction.

It has been proved that home schooled children are way ahead of the government indoctrination camps that keep you dumb so you are easier to tax.
I have met some of the smartest most pleasant kids that are /have been homeschooled. They are driven to succeed at whatever they attempt.

We homeschooled our 2 children starting in 1982 and some of our grandchildren also. It is a way of life. Don't be afraid to live life with your children. They will thrive

Year 13 of homeschool for us! 2 graduated and 6 more to go. My two homeschool graduates are national champions in speech and debate. I HIGHLY recommend joining a national homeschool speech and debate league if you are a Christian homeschool family. The scholarships are incredible and learning the skill of public (and impromptu) speaking it the greatest gift you could ever give your home-educated child.

We pulled our kids and will be starting our 4th year homeschooling next month. Is it tough at times, absolutely. I wouldn't trade it for anything though.

I am going on year 3 of homeschooling our children… and working part time. It's not easy but so worth it. Our family has reaped many benefits, I wish we had started sooner. I appreciate the encouragement. So glad to hear of your son's success!

My niece and nephew were homeschooled, nephew is now a engineer, graduated with honors from college, niece is wife ,mom, and accountant
I have the utmost respect for parents who make the commitment & sacrifice to homeschool their children. I'm so thankful that my grandchildren were homeschooled. They are all well-adjusted, intelligent, wise beyond their years. If I were rearing children again, I would not put them in the failed public school system. Brag away, Patara! You & your children have earned that right. Congratulations to your son on the recognition of his English professor.

Homeschooled all 3 of mine. The youngest just graduated. Now I'm helping a friend homeschool. Then on to helping my grand kids homeschool in coming years. I was a single mom so it can be done.
I home schooled my 3 clear through to college age. I would do it all over again. As Dr Raymond Moore always said, "Homeschooling isn’t for every parent but it IS for every child."
the public school system is doing exactly what is was created to do. there is no 'fixing' it.
Was always afraid to try until 2020, when they closed schools we realized heck we can do this! Pulled ours out of public school and enrolled in a christian homeschool program and we love it! Wish I had done it sooner!
