  1. Nice tomatoes timeline 13:11. I always thought that when leaves curl that way indicates a problem but I don't see marked up or eaten leaves. Except for the curling it looks great.

Maybe I worry too much. I'm in zone 6A or 6B. In Connecticut and not in a forest.

  2. I laughed out loud when you said every time you turn your back you get robbed (by Tuck) haha! That grape harvest was amazing. Are you a little bit relieved when the season is over and you can rest? My garden is probably 1/100th of yours and it gets that way for me at times but this year, I actually got a few cucumbers and I'm not sure yet, but I think a tiny yam slip i planted last year that never did anything (and I thought I had dug up) might have survived the winter by some miracle and re-grew – in Canada? I'll be shocked if i manage to dig up a few yams. Took a cutting off of it, just in case, for next year.

  3. This is my first year for Suyo Long cucumbers, thanks to you James!
I am taking a massive salad to a church lunch tomorrow, and it cost me nothing but an enjoyable summer in the garden!

  4. Never had the white bitter melon but one favorite recipe (and honestly one of the only palatable ways to eat bitter melon) is to cut it THIN and mix it with your scrambled eggs. My auntie in the Philippines would swear on the health benefits of “ampalaya” and would cook this for me often.
