  2. I’ve never had a fall garden and I’m using fabric bags. I followed the timing for our frost date in Zone 8b and I worked backwards. Even doing that, some of the seeds just wouldn’t establish because it’s still hot (we’re still in the 90’s). Anyway, I have so many seeds that I just keep re seeding what isn’t working. My peas have gone crazy. The spinach is doing well as well as oak leaf lettuce. The romaine is struggling as well as the broccoli so I’m just keeping notes for next year.

  3. Hi Jeff thanks once again thank you for info and encouragement. I'm in UK as I think you may know. My planting is going to be experimental but based on all your great information. I have a small walk in greenhouse, the one with the 6 shelves. I am going to try various veg and see how it goes.

  4. Great information here as always. Thanks!
My cabbages, kale and walking onions, etc. are planted.
Here in East Tenn. in the hills near the Smokies those onions don't die back.
    They have acclimated beautifully.
    Have a great weekend!

  5. Those Fall harvests only come for me in the autumn months if I remembered to plant those veggies by the end of July. I only have about 3-4 weeks before it gets really cold at this point. I planted some cabbages at the beginning of August, and it's looking like I'll be lucky if I get cabbages from the plants.

  6. Timing doesn't apply to TX. Our weather is bipolar. Just when you think fall weather starts, mother nature decides to slap us with triple digit heat for weeks.

  7. Hello Jeff , here in zone 9a we've been getting lots and lots of rain , the problem with it is it's washing all of the nutrients out of my planting pots . I feel like I've wasted all of the compost that I put into them .

  8. This video comes a bit late, doesn't it? My first average frost is before fall officially begins (mid-September). Is there anything I can plant after the first frost?
