This week my children and I have been revisiting our local civil war areas, South west MO. We learned allot about the war and battles but mostly about the families left behind(women and children) and the bushwhackers who terrorized them. Strong mamas hiding in the cellars, refusing to back down, leaving in the middle of the night to find a safe place for thier children.
