Recipe:
~ 1 large can sweet potatoes or equivalent peeled & cooked taters
~ 2 pats butter
~ 1 Cup sugar
~ 1/2 Cup cornstarch
~ Dash of cinnamon
~ 1 Cup evaporated milk
~ Splash of vanilla
~ 3 egg yolks-add last
* Mix in heated pan & pour into greased 9 inch pie pan

Topping:
1/2 Cup plain flour
1/2 Cup brown sugar
1/2 Cup butter
1/2 Cup pecans

Mix topping till crumbly & place on pie
Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 50 minutes

  1. I wish you would give us the temperature you baked it and how long you baked it and a little more instructions ma'am. It sure does look good but it would sure be easier for us if we could figure out what exactly you were doing. I could put it on my menu if I knew how to make it

  2. This might sound like a silly question but I'm in Australia and we don't get canned sweet potato. If I were to make this with fresh sweet potato, would it be best to boil it or roast it first to soften it?
