I made soooo many mistakes this year, but a couple of weeks ago i started planning for next year. One of my biggest mistakes was putting my peppers and tomatoes out too early because I needed the space under the grow lights. So, new grow lights are ordered and space set aside for 4 more flats with space for all plants I want to grow in 3 inch pots. This will allow me the flexibility to keep my seedlings indoors till the weather permits.
My lettuce is still growing – even though it snowed. I can't believe it. I would have thought lettuce would be the most cold sensitive thing in my garden. Zone 5
Maybe it could also be a good idea to boost your soil by putting fertilizers, compost unfinished or finished on top of your growing location whether it be pots or raised beds so it can work it's magic over the fall and winter so you have a good growing medium in the next spring!
love this attitude
should i ammend my soil w dry organic fertilizer during fall / winter so that it can be absorbed by the soil by summer? does that make sense
Luke, how are the plans for your new property and business coming along?
I'm getting great results thanks to this beautiful autumn season here in Maryland. The lettuce, kale and bell peppers love it.
