Becky, I found in a cookbook a cool way to quickly peel garlic. Cut the bottoms off the garlic, then plunge the garlic in a pan of boiling water for a minute, I counted to 20. Then the cloves pretty much just squeeze out of the paper. I may have pinged a few cloves around my kitchen, but it was fast and fun. The recipe was for pickled garlic.
I saw a video on my Facebook and guy brines the turkey then put it in over to roast about halfway or until the top is getting brown then flips the turkey over and lay bacon on the botten which is now the top and cooks it some then the bacon was done and took off and finished up then flip back over and let stand it was really cool I am going try it
I wish we had such great grocery/specialty/discount stores and farms near us the way you do!!! I love watching you and your mom prep and cook in such an organized fashion.
The laundry soap seems like a catch 22 bc yes your mom’s option has less plastic but it also further supports Amazon and Bezo doesn’t care about his Amazon employees or his house servants. It’s hard to break away from the fast shipping on almost everything but we are feeding into a beast.
Love how genuine and generous they both are! And casually gives away the best printable for free… while other influencers sell their slap-together useless printables.
As someone from Sri Lanka it was funny to see thr ceylon cinnamon segment of the video. Considering our cinnamon is all I have eaten it would be cool to taste the other kind to see the difference.
