VIDEO: Winter Sowing Update | AFTER ONE MONTH
After trying 3 different types of Winter Sowing over the past month, we’ve finally got some early results to share with you!
INTERESTING update-thank you! I really like your channel because you present your information in a way that is very easy to follow! Thank you for sharing this with us!
wow, I'm positively surprised that the plants came up so well despite the cold night temperatures!
I'm really looking forward to the comparison with the plants started indoors later in the year!
My only complaint about your videos is that they are too short! I am always happy to see what information you have for me. Thank you!
Looks like pretty good results so far. I had spinach, kale and arugula sprouting under domes last week and we just went through a spring storm with lots of snow and cold night time temps. Hopefully the mini greenhouses will keep them warm and safe!
Thank you for the updates! I'll continue to follow for sure
Looks pretty good!
fascinating!
Always enjoy your content. Thanks for keeping us up to date with your findings.
New hair
I think it really depends on what you're planting, my kale is huge already but its on it's second year. My Onions are huge and all need to come out before they decide to flower but my sets are all going in already.
I started a trial on tomatoes 3 days ago – when it was obviously not winter anymore, but very far from tomato-friendly temperatures. Covered trays in a plastic "greenhouse" – which is 4 shelves surrounded by plastic 🙂 Tomatoes in the house sprouted in 2 days! 🙂
Thanks for updating
Such excellent content!
We left our strawberries completely uncovered this past winter (southern Illinois). We had snow, late frosts, and all sorts of rain. They've been blooming, slowly, for two weeks now. Over the past week, it's been unseasonably warm, and they're starting to look like hydrangeas now.
Same with our asparagus — we did a light cover on them, but nothing big, and we've had two good harvests already.
So I'm convinced most gardeners work too hard — nature seems to find it's way no matter what we do.
Thanks! I must try something similar next spring!
I'm curious about what kind of soil you used? (No brands)
Welcome back !! Long time without see you.
ty for the update. i will be honest.. i miss the animations.. which take a ton of effort i am sure so i get it. what i got out of this was to just make cold frames for the raised beds. extends the season and gets an earlier start etc. im more than happy to give up on most of my cold season growlight plants if possible
This is my second season doing WS, Im in zone 6a. I found the brassica's are exceptional sprouters with WS. A couple others are zinnia, snapdragons. Others I have not had success and will probably not try again.
I love the idea of trying new things. Please keep up the science!
237 Sub’s. . I started watching back when you’ll was in The Van . That was some Awesome Video. A touch of white spouting though. You’ll look your doing Great. I like to garden like your doing.
Also maybe you guy would consider mushrooms. They like the cool/ cold basement. Sell local . God’s Blessings
Odd question you might’ve answered before, but what do you use for your animations?
