Hey Curtis do you need a license to sell your produce to restraunts or grocery stores in Canada… Just wondering. Love your videos. And want to get into farming, has been a desire since I was 4 year old I am now 22 and working full time in a factory and saving up to farm would like any advice thanks.☺
Curtis I would like to know how we can enroll in your program and his program. If we are serving the farm to table I would love to scale-up slowly doing both. I have some land that I may start with on Orcas Island right by Vancouver Canada. it would be nice to start with a farm of the five highest grossing varieties of vegetables.

Yeah, been kidding a few goats. Love your interviews with other farmers and have learned so much from you!! You are awesome! Love your book too! I am working on making beds to grow a bunch of greens this fall and winter. There is a market here in Alabama no one is tapping!!!! Some folks think our area is to stupid to want fresh greens. They just want their check and a big Mac. I think folks are a lot smarter and willing to take the chance and grown them some fresh healthy greens!!
Alabama is hot and growing some salanova in my house to transplant to the farm later. Our 105-110 degree weather one can forget about germinating any lettuce. But in the AC of my home at 72 degrees I can germinate and get ready to plant out when the weather is cooler. Some Alabama folks just grow their lettuce in the basement under lights. May do some of that if it is to hot to transplant outside. I don't have a basement but the greens do pretty well in my east facing kitchen window. I grow my tomatoes and cucumbers here. Am growing the second season of cucumbers and tomatoes. Our mega rain this year took out most of the crops with blight. But no problem. We have a long season and could even do 2 crops of sweet corn. Most farmers here do not. Which really is crazy to me. Am experimenting on a small scale with that and will see what I can get for it next year. Our season for sweet corn is June and then it is gone for the rest of the year. June has the worms and the corn is wormy. So trying to see if can do a second later crop without worms. We don't want to use chemicals and the worms don't bother me but most buyers freak out over them and want the sprayed corn. Unlike you in the city I have 40 acres to mess with and last year a guy rented my back pasture and produced at least $10,000 worth of water melons off of it!!! There were still water melons after they quit harvesting and my pigs had so much water melon they did not want any more…

… I've been doing this all wrong! I've been attempting to start a small mushroom farm. I live in south east Iowa and I struggle with heat the elm mushroom might be my saving grace. I have an grow room and I had success with oyster and lions mane, but had to stop because of temp control. I'm so pumped thank you so much Curtis and I definitely will be watching more of Codys videos. Thank you thank you

I don't understand why he is so stuck on being an outdoor grower when he's using greenhouses anyways? I just watched a guy in Washington State, USA that grows in green houses all year round using that thick white poly film. This doesn't make sense to me. A controlled environment for mushrooms seems to work so much better after watching at least 50 videos myself from all kinds of people. In fact 1 company. Up there in Canada has been doing it for around 100 years already. Besides people eat mushrooms in the winter too. Just saying?
