EVERYONE I AM WRONG about the crossing…I anecdotally noticed this in a batch of my beds then didn't completely research. You are generally OK to mix sweet and hot, unless you want to save the seeds and replant, THEN you should definitely space them very far apart.

Cross pollination is only an issue if you keep seeds to plant next year. It will not effect the current crop one bit.
His 1st tip was bullshit and wrong..cross pollination in no way affects the taste of the current crop. Only the crop produced the following year from those potentially saved seeds what cause that

my jalapeno plant is over 5 feet tall… I thought it was a tomato plant because it got so big!
Edit: It does have many peppers on it as well so its not just leaves

Way over watered. Small plants in big pots is a good way to slow down growth.

What type of grow bags are those?
i overwintered some plants. about 1/2 made it.. I notice the new plants produce a lot more in long run. I'm in socal .. your results may be different. Depending on your zone. It was close to a tie at one point, the new plants grew a lot faster then the over wintered plants, caught up, and passed overwinter plants in both growth and pepper production. I still have way too many peppers for me to eat alone.

he said inconsistent watering like waiting for it to go dry and then giving it a good water is bad for it but I have read and watched several tutorials that have said the opposite and explained that leaving the soil to go dry before watering is best as chillis come from hot climates
I'm in Australia, just wondering where you are so I can google average temperatures for winter. I'm surprised chillies can overwinter like that. What about overwintering habaneros and ghost chillies?
I live in a cool climate and could not overwinter outdoors, i find that the peppers are covered with aphids even indoors does anyone else have this problem and is their a cure?
Man your not gonna believe what I'm about to tell you. I'm a Gun builder, Welder, Carpenter, Mechanic, Fabricator, Digital Art Creator, Web Designer, Computer builder and Marketing Executive and that is just the start of what I am. I'm about to subscribe to your channel because there's one thing I'm not. A Gardener! I love Jalapenos and have had simi successful plants one time before. Yet I have a plant that's growing at an amazing rate yet with no peppers. Its by itself in a 5 gallon bucket so I can move it inside in case it freezes. I'm in Huntsville TX. and weather can change overnight. What the hell is going on with this plant? I wish I could send pictures of it. One look and I'm sure you could tell me. My plans are to build a greenhouse once I have to money. That money is even harder to grow.

I Live in Spain and during the summer I planted my Jalapenos & the never did grow more than 5 inches. Hot days in the 80s F evenings 60s F .
