I tried soldakis with high hopes…two plants. One died early on. The bottom leaves turned yellow. I kept them staked and the yellow leaves pruned off as they turned yellow. I was so hopeful and then disappointed. Then the second one made a comeback when I scratched in feThermeal and. Put a tums tablet at the base. We just had a heavy rain. Now the second plant has yellowing leaves. I so want soldakis! I gave my extra plant has two very large green tomToes..and at the top new blossoms!
I have 41 tomato plants plants. But I still would like to succeed with the soldakis!
Tuck is so cool? My sungold cherries Re super in every way . Black rim cherries more flavorful.. but not by much!

bro i envy your forest! i am trying to grow stuff but dont really know how haha ! i have a plastic covered greenhouse in the UK and i have some sweet colossus strawberry plants, inca berry, gooseberry(ouch), tomato and some leaf salad lol… i dont even know what im doing im just "trying" like you say 🙂

I really admire your garden and your gardening skill. You haven't fallen for the traditional gardening paradigm and the result is a low-maintenance/high yield ecologically friendly and, most important, PLEASURABLE garden.
Is the garden area all on your own lot, or have you extended (by permission) onto neighbour's lots? I can't imagine such a large 'urban garden'! Besides you and Tuck, how many people are you feeding from your garden? BTW, do you have a 'day-job' or does gardening take up all your time?
Has Tuck ever ate those mushrooms poking out of the mulch? I’m concerned that my GSP will eat it and get sick.
Hey James My experience is that tomato plants can be big healthy flowering but not ripening tomatoes seem to stay green. Then you get 3 days of 90+ degrees and something inside the tomato turns on and they just start changing color and ripening. Some summers just are too cool and the production is just lower despite all the best practices and efforts.
