  1. Oh my! One of my twins is named Miriam… she was very excited (my little animal lover). She has 15 minute conversations with "her" chickens every day.
Yalls story of how you got your land is similar to ours, God is good

  2. Ben is such a good helper and so enthused about the farm. I'd love to see him going where he wants on the farm in one of those little kid cars or jeeps that runs on a battery. He could drive himself and a bucket over to gather his eggs, etc…(with no elec. fence turned on, of course) Miah does such a wonderful job of building things for the farm!!!

  3. Listening to the story of how you found your land is very encouraging. We can’t move until next year but watching a couple of properties we absolutely loved sell was quite wistful. I keep telling my hubby that when it’s actually time for us to move OUR property will be available.

  4. I was flogged by a rooster as a kid. He was dinner the next day. We had a mean rooster last year, he was hand raised with lots of love. He’s now on a big farm where he can’t hurt anyone. Little jerk. Lol

  5. God is so so good. I got cold chills when you were describing the way this land became yours. A gift and you are so grateful. Thank you for teaching us and sharing and reminding us to be thankful every day for what we have. I bless you from San Diego.

  6. That is really cool that Jeramiah is putting a outlet on the pergola so you can put up pretty lights! It has to be really hard to start from scratch on raw land. You guys have done so much already. Will any of those turkeys be for Thanksgiving? Pretty chicken eggs. Ben is a great helper. Your farm is so pretty. I love how you have so many animals on it already. Thanks for this Jess.

  7. Did you ever think about you and Ben writing kids stories about his farm adventures? I would love to read the story of Ben's run in with that chicken and the outcomes to my peeps!

  8. Jess, you and Ben and a reference to Downton Abbey, all in one video. You provided me with a little bit of warmth and rest this morning. I am on a two day respite from caring for my mom Jessie who is battling cancer and my 80 year old dad who is having health issues too. I don't know if you read these comments, you are so busy; but I am grateful that you are giving me a little joy.

  9. I was feeding chickens for a friend and one of her young hens in the flock got underfoot. I felt terrible. A few minutes later I felt something sharp on the back of my legs. The rooster spurred me and was letting me know he was not having hurt hens on his watch. ❤️

  10. I love how I felt when we found our 10 acres in north eastern Wa. I look back and see how God led the way and covered every obstacle. We’re so happy for you and your family. We Bless y’all

  11. Jess, these visits on your farm are amazing and a real blessing. The alpaca kissing you and ben and the goat being a butthead. I love your willow tree, such a beautiful tree with other benefits too, you can make a booster/tonic and rooting agent from soaking the leaves in water due to the salicylic acid. I used it to revive an almost dead tomato seedling, it worked so well and the plant is now thriving I called it survivor tomato 🙂
