I WOULD say that you're missing out, not knowing what Skittles are, but it would seem you probably have a low-sugar diet, so Skittles would probably be way too sweet for you.
Also, "whipper snipper"? There are so many names for these things. Weed eater, weed hacker, string trimmer, and now whipper snipper!

Mind you, when I got it and opened, I wasn't sure that it was 'the deal' (and yes, it feels heavyish … have not used it yet – delivered last week, opened 2 days ago and saw your story tonight. As for stihl km131 kombi, its the best peice of equipment ive bought.
I sure regret buying husqvarna as it just doesn't have the same quality about it
Yes those little chippers are rubbish, I brought one when they where $69 in Kmart GMC from memory.
In the Masport Mower range the 490 Model has a chipper built into it with a chipping blade on top of the normal 4 blades for the grass, great for a standard yard.
Love your multure but expensive but fit for purpose for you and your garden.

It's always a Hit and miss with products these days, buying a well known brand name does not always equal a better superior product. Too much stuff/products are made to be throw away. Never fix or repair. With the population of humans on earth increasing drastically, I don't know how successful a throw away society will be for mother earth. Hashtag: I made a product so good everyone only ever needed to buy it once, now my business is out of business.

I'm pleased that you mentioned the Hansa chipper. A friend was in the landscaping business and got out of it. He left his 9 he chipper at our place. But every time it needed maintenance, I asked him if I could buy it off him to update the soft starter mechanism to a hand crank system. The answer was, "No, I might want to use it again." Meanwhile, he did a Mad Max Maintenance modification and I go through many belts. It's been a great machine, but the vintage on the belt drive engagement has been improved.

well I use the Ozito chipper all the time. It took a while to get used to in terms of the type of material and rate of feeding through material but once you get used to it, it is very good. There is also an adjustment to ensure that it is biting off the chunk of material and not just crushing it. Obviously the beast would be better for bigger properties but its noisier and takes up a lot of space in storage. Truly I think you should have persisted with the Ozito a bit longer. I like the fact that it is very quiet compared to the howling high speed chippers.
