  1. You are awesome. Yes you are right about the right way to the garden. I love watching you but I grow in the ground. I can not see myself doing the raised beds like you. I do want to at some point do some for some perennials. I have been working on my garden for three years and yes I'm still learning. I enjoy how honest you are.

  2. Hi! I am SO happy to have discovered your videos!! You are a wonderful teacher. It took me many many years to figure out the need & importance of garden planning. Thank you for sharing your personal experiences. It's comforting to hear a successful gardener has shared some of the same "failures." My yard has been in a constant state of flux for 30 years. So, a couple years ago I began calling myself a Gardening Practioner because every year provides practice & learning experiences lol. This year is going to see a huge transition as I begin to bring in multiple natives, the addition of several berries, & reduce the amount of grass lawn, whew! Your videos teach, motivate, & inspire. Thank you so much for your appreciated hard work!

  3. When do you start your carrots and beets I'm in 7 7a 7b grow zone and I'm wondering when's a good time to start my root crops I'm good for the fall starts it's this side of the yr I'm not sure since some yrs we skip spring and go right into summer lol I dont have a green house

  4. Oh dear. Your GreenStalk Vertical Gardens are just so pretty in the background with your greenhouse's blue door!! Dreamy…I can't wait to see what you plan to do this year, Jess! -Ashley, Inventor's Daughter, GreenStalk Garden

  5. Girl, I can SO identify with you on this subject. I call it "fly by the seat of my pants" gardening. I start out trying to plan and it goes fairly well for awhile, but then it all flies apart, especially when I forget what is where. The plants don't seem to mind so why should I? lol

  6. I love your videos. I realized pretty quickly that this wasn't exactly what I was looking for, as someone who bought seeds for the first time ever, and quickly ended up with an enormous amount of seedlings and no plan, but I kept watching anyway, because you always make me feel like things are going to turn out A-okay, and I'll know better next year.

  7. I'm the exact same way. If I'm researching something in the garden and I get contradicting advice it makes my brain explode too. I also need clear instructions on how to do something. I usually end up just picking a method that makes some sort of sense and go with that

  8. Thank you Jess! I have been so frustrated with conflicting information. I just went with it this first year and decided it was going to be a learning year. So freeing to know there aren’t “pat” answers for every situation. Blessings!!

  9. Jess thank you for all your great advice!!
Whatever got put in the window of your Greenhouse? I keep trying to catch a glimpse of it in your Vlogs and missing it!

  10. I love that you give yourself the freedom to say "I don't know" and that be enough. As in, I don't know but I'm still a good gardener and so can you you be, you just need to try. Xx
