I would like to know if there is a trick to grow the seeds!
I've tried to grow them. I collected the seeds from the fruit, plant it in the soil, it didn't grow…
I've tried freezing the seeds for one month, planted them, they didn't grow…
What's the trick???
Does any body know?
Do you have to do a "cutting.", and if so, where's the best place to take it from, and when? From the shoots that have flowers or next years shoots?
Thanks, Phil ( mikmaq1234567@gmail.com )
Beautiful garden
I have a black raspberry that I planted about 3 years ago but it doesn't send up lots of young canes like I see in the videos here. Thanks for the pruning tips; I know exactly what to do now!
I was wondering. How can you know the difference between A black raspberry and a black berry?
All the Black raspberries I’ve seen are only hardy to zone 8! (I’m 9) I just purchased nova it’s the only one I could find for my zone- a red variety.
Wild black raspberries…by me.
50 years ago in central illinois you could find berries and also wild asparagus growing on roadsides, railroad right of ways, and drainage ditches. Much effort went into eliminating these natural and free food sources. The University of Illinois has published that it is impossible to cultivate wild black raspberries?
We do. We have patches that are 50 yrs old. As an experiment we crushed a few gallons of berries like we always do for jelly but I kept the seeds and dumped them by the back fence. Guess what? They grew and now birds are spreading the seeds for me.
So please sacrifice a few berries and put them at the base of a fence as if a bird sat on the fence then pooped seeds when it flew off. THAT is exactly how it works.
Now do it!
Short and to the point. Thank you!
we have a secret large supply and they are ready now! Life is good
I have laterals 3' long. Do u ever trim them?
I live in northern Washington state. I have found a bunch of Black Caps up here in the forest next to a creek. Thanks for your videos.
I came here just to find out if black raspberries are a real thing from Jenna Marbles video..
Is the introduction music a full song. And if so what is the name of that song? I quickly got caught up in that short tune. Now back to actually watching this black raspberries vid.
wasn't quite everything I needed to know. I want to transplant some at my sister's and niece's…
I have lots of black raspberries this year but they are tiny. What causes this or what can I do to get larger size?
What a gorgeous garden!
Does it help to have a natural compost in the soil where the black raspberry plants will eventually go? I'm thinking of starting the seeds in little individual soil pods or in pots and then transplanting them to a garden space once they've grown a bit.
? I'm trying to figure out if these will multiply in the way that red raspberries do. We purchased a single plant and I'd like to train it to grow more over time.
Thank you for being an inspiration (you too Tuck!
James — love your calm and mellow approach.
I got a big bush of them in my backyard and im from ny i get them between june and july:)
James is the best
I had some this morning. They grow wild where I live
Nice
Thanks for the pointers. I’m in Long Island. I’m going to order them from the nursery for planting. I did not see Tucker in this video
How much sun do they need?
You have heaven bro ♥️
I am in Coastal New England and have a ton of red raspberries/ wineberries. They seem to have dominated the area leaving me only a few black raspberries. Any ideas how to increase black raspberries?!
My black raspberries’ berries are so tiny this year. What gives? Can you please do a video on that?
How about an episode on how to root them so that we can have more plants
Oh yeah I leaned everything lol lol nuff said
