Reminds me a lot of an old family cake recipe I continue to make every year. Same basic batter, but features dates, pecans, and orange, including a orange topping that soaks into the cake and is amazingly good! I love blackberries, so hope to try this one too. Looks delish!

The cake turned out beautiful. My mom makes a great jam cake also, Her recipe is also very old but hers is a lot darker and she uses the cooked icing on it.
