  1. So you want the best tasting tomatoes you have ever had.. of course you do. Cover your ground with manure and compost in December then cover that with black plastic. Don't remove it till April first. Plant Bush Goliath Tomatoes. Pretty soon you will think you died and went to heaven. I Might come back and give you the Best pasta sauce recipe in the world.

  2. One thing I've found is you can never give animal manure too long to mature – the longer the better & mixing it in with garden waste helps even more.
I usually stack cow & horse manure for 12-18 months before use & have in the past dug up stuff for free that was more than 5 years old. It resembled fine, crumbly peat & produced superb crops.

  3. Hi Mark. I live nearby (Sunny coast) and I'm having trouble finding some chemical free wood pallets/skids for creating 1m cubed composting bins. Do you know of any places? I remember you getting a few in your other videos.

  4. Sorry, maybe I missed this, but when you add the manure, how long do you let the bed rest before planting? Or how can you tell its time to plant and that your roots won't get burnt?

  5. I'm sending this vid to my husband… the non-believer is insisting on buying a store fertilizer for our end-of-season raised garden beds even though his farmer-brother has plenty of free cow manure for us to "harvest." Thanks for the help.

  6. Hi mark … do you have any Rhubarb? I have 2 plants what I was given and they have done so well and given me a lot of fruit.
I just don’t know how to separate it and what the right time of year is to split it ..
I live in Melbourne and I’m wanting to re pot the rhubarb into a permanent spot

  7. Greetings from Denmark. I'm using cow manure for roses – works the best. I you ever get the chance try the compost from mushroom production. It's completly free of seeds/weeds – and has already been composted and is ready to use.

  8. Thanks Mark you bloody legend. I've always wanted to know what a "good load of poo can do", especially as one of my best mates runs cattle out west. I now know what to ask for my birthday. I see the following conversation. "Mate, for my birthday can I take my trailer and shovel out to your property and take some of your moo poop?" His response?????? I guess Ill have to wait to see.

  9. What if u don’t trust the dairy farmers for example here in America most cow farms mistreat their animals and feed the animals the cheapest food they can find that isn’t that good for them

  10. my neighbor gave me three tractor buckets of cow manure for my garden. It was so full of nettles I had to basically stop gardening. Now my whole yard is full of them. We can no longer walk bare foot through the grass without burning our feet and ankles. If you have never felt bull nettle stings well lets just say it sets your whole foot on fire for a day or two. Also use meat tenderizer to stop the stinging. Works on jelly fish stings too.
