VIDEO: How to Make Soil Blocks for Indoor Seed Starting

Starting seeds indoors using soil blocking has become my favorite way to start seeds. Making the soil blocks themselves may seem intimidating, but it’s really an easy process.

  2. Hi – I’ve been soil blocking for a few years now. Great videos and blogs by the way! Question for you – I’d like to try carrots in 2 inch blocks. I know it’s not recommended but I know you did it in the micro blocks and wanted your thoughts on starting them indoors, planting about 3 seeds per block, thinning, and transplanting into garden. Thoughts?
