I prefer open pollinating plants in my garden because they taste great and by saving seed I can adapt them to my local conditions. Hybrid plants are bred for mass production and you cannot save their seed or adapt them to your location and the seed is expensive. BUT. Gmo plants often contain pest killers in them and their proteins have been combined with all kinds of strange DNA. Allergies abound. Open pollinating and wild plants get contaminated. Yuk! Yuk! Yuk!
