Here’s an update and how I set-up my solar automatic container water system (called Irrigatia).
Here’s a discussion including several links for more information on our forum about the Irrigatia: http://www.selfsufficientculture.com/threads/irrigatia-solar-watering-kit.897/

G'day Mark, love your videos mate. I'm gonna be moving up to the sunny coast next year and want to know if theres any way to grow spinach in the sub-tropics? indoors near a window or other ways? or is it just to much drama and should stick to Egyptian spinach and other gear?
Love your work mate,
Cheers!
Oi that's alright! Adds an easy extra dimension to a watering system.
that's a great idea
Pretty neat little gadget there, Mark!
heya Mark
Great solar waterer you got there
One thing that would be helpful maybe, is to know the head (or in this case suck) of the pump. What is the max height the pump can suck up the water ? an easy test would be handy. I suppose when you place it in a well, and the lift suck would me 4 mtrs or more, that might pose a prob ? For the rest it looks like a pretty great solution. What's the price abouts ? I have been trying stuff out with pumps, solar & stuff.
Cheers !
Awesome
Hey Mark… nice demo and explanation, it really does seem like ingenious piece of equipment. It must free up a bit of watering time for you to concentrate on other things as well. Cheers for the video, Adam 🙂
Just a quick question, do you provide most of your family's food needs from the garden, plus eggs and poultry? We just bought a block at clear mountain near samford and hope to follow in your foot steps. We have spent the last 9 years living in Hong Kong in a tiny apartment in a concrete jungle, Can't wait
Very simple and straight forward but the inventor was very clever. That is an amazing little system.
I really like this. Good video:)
Hi Mark, I like it depending how hard it will be to water my poly this year I might get this for the next summer, Thanks !
Thank you I must copy you here in Kenya Africa where we die of hunger yet we have vast amount of water and good climate.
Thanks for showing us this its a great review.
I have made a watering system video https://youtu.be/Khfy437_1Po which includes a fresh update on this Irrigatia solar device (basically it's failure and why). Cheers 🙂
Really gives me new thoughts on how to manage my watering needs. Thanks for informative posting!
Some guys on our youtube channel from the crew doing Bonsai are acutally using this system, it's awesome and reliable!
Hi just wanted to ask how long did the Irrigatia unit last ? as it's been 3 year's now or is it still going ??.
I wish you still used this intro music!
does anyone know what kind of solar panels he uses and how he has them set up or if he uses both solar regular municipal electricity?
