When looking for sources for chips, be sure to make friends with your local electric utility guys. PSE&G just knocked on the door to let me know they’d be trimming trees in the next few weeks. When I asked if I could have chips, he asked how many loads and where I wanted them. I pointed out the spot and replied, “As many as will fit.” Score! 🙂

Hi James. I stumbled on your channel by accident. I really enjoy your enthusiasm, philosophy and get it done attitude. You are definitely an inspiration. I've had a small annual veggie garden for a few years. I was ready to do something with my blank back and side yard (about half an acre, zone 7b) when I found your videos. I know I am late in prep but I'm inspired to get started. Should I just follow the mulch vid (where you are starting w contractor paper)? Can I still plant berries and fruit trees now?

I have about 1 acre of overgrown woods in the back of my property that I'm thinking of changing to a food forest, or at least some amount. How do you handle watering? I scrolled thru all videos but didnt see anything dedicated to the ways to water? Do you?

Thank God I got hundreds of yards of chips coming and some dropped and spread already. Free and local… Instead of buying I now have fence money that I needed with living in the country. 30 Trees or bushes are ordered and paid… It is really happening… thanks for the inpiration and knowledge. Seeds itching to start…but still cold in the mitten.
