Israeli Krav maga, the training and the awareness it brings totally changes a person. This is a question that I have gotten for two years now and continue to get. So, I share my thoughts and feelings on the matter. My personal convictions or beliefs are just that… mine. Ladies, do what works for you. At the end of the day, we are all in this together! 1. Well, I have to say you make it real girl! Never in all my born put togethers have I thought about this subject in this manner. You have made me think. I think you are so sweet. And one smart chick. You really put yourself out there just to make women and men think outside the box. Keep up the great work.

  2. Thank you. I am an older woman and where I lived, until 5th grade, us girls had to wear skirts or dresses to public school. After that it was pants all the way and it was about tcb, feeling and being safer. I was always a modest person. In my early 20's I became UPC, but I was working as a nurse. Bending, kneeling, lifting patients, I know the pant uniform kept me modest, especially from the occasional eyes/hands on male perv. and once, a forced kiss by an elderly, 6' 2" or 3", cigar smoker. Sorry UPC ladies, I was better off in pants. Now I'm a grandma, and trying to bring it back to skirts all the time, but just not feeling it. Where I live now we experience frequent high winds and often snow. I am sure I could "get by", but seriously believe it's about modesty and not wearing men's clothes. I see the ladies always in their skirts, showing the form of their bottoms and thighs. At least if I fall, or the wind whips up so hard I can barely stand, I'll save some eyes from going blind. Not to mention keeping warm. LOL

  3. Very good points! A weapon won’t always solve a scary situation, like a fire or something else you simply need to run away from. I’ve thought about these things in terms of wardrobe choices before, but I always thought I was taking it too far. I’m glad I’m not the only one that thought of this though! Personally I just decided to wear loose, knee length dresses that allow me a wide range of movement. And I have peace with God about that. Others will be called to wear pants and they’ll have peace with God about that. Safety is the number one priority! Thanks for the video!

  4. I grew up when the dress code was to only wear dresses or skirts. Wisconsin winters can be hard in a dress, But when we got home from school we put on our barn clothes which was jeans a shirt and work boots. And even my mom wore jeans when she was at home but wore dresses when shewent out to town. Believe me in the 50's and 60's women were not wearing jeans in public much.

  5. Hello Patara, I don't blame you for not wearing skirts. I don't wear skirts or dresses very often. I like to wear pants, and shorts during the summer time. God bless you and your family, I LOVE YOU.

  6. You don't have to explain yourself Patara. Its none of our business. If someone is watching your videos for fashion sense, they are totally not getting it. I can absolutely recommend some beauty gurus that know their stuff…They can teach you how to do a full face of makeup with a lip gloss! You'll starve to death, but you'll be the prettiest corpse on the block. Know what's important people.

  7. In years gone by, I wore skirts to church, but pants always to go out to work, shopping, recreation etc. I most of the time go everywhere alone so I feel safer in pants. The ONE DAY I chose to take a chance and wear a skirt to go out, I was attacked by a man on the streets. He grabbed me and we struggled. I fought him off and he eventually ran away. But it was difficult to defend myself in a skirt! I regretted wearing it. Now, I wear only pants even to church. I always feel nervous and unsafe in a skirt. It's difficult to explain to other people, but I'm glad to hear someone feels the way I do.

  8. Thank you so much for this video! I had no idea that people were questioning your choice of clothing of all things. SMH. You are an incredible woman who is setting am example of how a strong, godly woman carries herself. I'm thankful that God looks at the heart and not the fashion style. I've wanted to take Krav Maga classes for several years, so hearing you share about your own level of training was a treat. I was trained & licensed as a bodyguard for a couple years and was part of church security in a large church for several years. Now I teach situational awareness classes for women and am a Damsel in Defense Independent Damsel Pro. I love that you encourage women to have a voice and take responsibility for their own safety…right down to how what they wear affects their ability to defend themselves. I will add that to my trainings. When I'm doing a training and all of a sudden I switch to my "outside voice" and shout, "STOP! STAY AWAY! GET BACK!" it literally sets women free. I had one woman tell me that that one thing changed her life and her outlook on defending herself. Hoping to see you again at the 2020 event. My husband and I really appreciate you.

  9. This video showed up for me today recommended by youtube and I had to watch it to find out what this was about. It boggles my mind that anyone would even think about or care that you wear jeans and don't wear skirts much. It was 2016 when this was made! I rarely even see any women wear skirts these days except at church, weddings, etc. If anyone is even thinking about you wearing pants rather than a skirt, that's their problem! Most women don't wear skirts much these days except when they need to dress up. I can't even imagine why it would even enter someone's mind (in a western country) to even wonder about you wearing pants.
