Keeping your mint plant properly groomed will ensure the fragrant oils
are flowing. Mint will loose its scent after a little while if it is
allowed to grow woody. The best way to fix that is to trim it all ack.
Pruning will encurage new shoots and make your mint 3 to 4 times more
minty!

My clay pot has a white fungus film on the edge of the dirt, is this bad for my plant?
is there a tip for potted african basil to make it more fragrant? i don't use it in food, i just wanna enjoy its beautiful smell
Excellent
thanks mate
I ended up here wondering why my chocolate mint seems to taste stronger year on year, even the root cuttings. I still cant see whats going on there.
I’m struggling with my peppermint; the soil is crawling with whiteflies and cuttings have some blackened leaves.
Prune it. Saved you 5 mins
Can you use mint clippings as mulch
My mint has grow like weeds like I expected. Would I be able to dig up some of its roots to plant in a pot? Or, do I have to propagate them? I want to give some of the mint plant to somebody else.
Big fan of yours!
I have several types of mint….starting to get lanky-woody….thnks for the tip!!
The mint that my grandparents have (35 years) is more potent than ever! I know because when I was born 20 years ago it was here, and a few years ago I remember it was strong but not as it is today
Dry your mints and use them as dry herbs for years
Hmm. I see that's peppermint, a hybrid. Spearmint grows naturally on our property and I love it. The smell is so calming
I need help. My mint smells like skunk. Is there something i can do? Or di I just get a new plant?
How do you keep bugs from chewing up the mint? I don't want to spray it with chemicals because we use it for cooking.
Does this work for flowering plants? My peonies, although beautiful, don't have much aroma this year. I add a caveat: I walked around my neighborhood on Sunday, and my neighbors' peonies don't have much scent either. It might be that we're in a bit of a drought.
So common sense trim the plant back. 10 minutes when your title was more eluding to a fancy solution. Its a half click bait title.
Good stuff!
What is the uses of wild mint..pls clarify field mint and wild mint both are same
Thank you
I heard that if mints are left to flower, they're food for the pollinators – true/false?
Excellent info!
Thanks for this video.
Does this also work for Peppermint as well? I imagine it does.
I just got a 6 inch pot of peppermint and doesn’t smell at all,it was marked organic on the label, looks very healthy otherwise but nothing like the mint I lost in the freeze in February this year. It’s not leggy or big enough to cut back, any other suggestions?
