Ok, probably a goofy question but where did you find the scoop you're using while making bread? The time marker said 12:27. It's such a great size and shape.
Whenever I make bread I always make an extra loaf that I slice and freeze as soon as it's cooled down! You can then toast it directly from frozen and it tastes super fresh.
Get a bread machine. We use ours weekly. They don't cost much and so much easier especially with a big family. There are really only two of us and I make up three batches of mix and then mix up the few wet ingredients when I make a loaf. I'll never go back to store bought bread. Trust me!
I'm already wanting Spring! I've spent the last two days trying to find a flower that I saw in a big pot outside a store this summer and when I asked them what the flower was they had no idea, it was a service they paid for to have planters set-up outside their store. I think I finally found it. A Mexican Hat Cone flower. It looked so cool in the planter. Yes, I saw the milk knocked over. So sad. I'm glad you didn't try to talk while you milked today. I found Chinese broccoli while I was looking around and when Justin was visiting Jim in Florida in his farm tour Asparagus Broccoli was mentioned which turns out to be Chinese Broccoli! I'm looking forward to planting this. Thanks for making me feel like I'm not the only one that is excited about finding seeds. I have a sloped spot about 40 feet long that I plan to put a flower garden in this year. I've never plated flowers since I got here 12 years ago. It's about time I do.
I make my own sourdough and just normal artisan bread. I found out that if I put them in a ziploc or the fancy bread bag someone got me from Italy and put it in the fridge. It’s stays moist and fresh for longer.
Sandi Brock did that feed experiment with her sheep and apparently it didn't work for her
I love seeds too and not on your scale, but I try new ones every year. I have been doing it for 20 some years.
I've never heard that about night feeding. Interesting. Never had a night time calf, but always had full feed available for the soon expecting PG cows.
I wish there was a LOVE button! This Maine gardener has several weeks of waiting before even starting seeds but your enthusiasm is infectious! I also love seed stories and was so happy to score some Crimson Giant seeds for growing (and saving) this next season!

I think that I might start two of the seeds early and break branches off to clone the plant. I want to grow three plants for myself, but friends want plants too, so it's worth trying!

Why don't people just put on a coat and hat and quit complaining about the cold weather?
By accident I made a couple of loaves and froze one loaf after it cooled I put butter on top. When I took it out of freezer it stayed soft and delicious I really loved it . I'm almost 83 next month so I don't eat it very fast

Gardening was one of the first with the Victory Garden… LOL.. However, I am a multi generational farmer… Now I am surrounded with commercial farming and the chemical that come with it… I want to expose some of those, but understand the population has to be eat..Keep up the good work

Actually those 80 year old seeds illustrate an even bigger lesson: No one babied those seeds all those years ago through 80 years. So just because you did not baby your seeds does not mean they are no good anymore. It is worth it, if it is worth it to you, to try germinating old seeds. I have 10+ year old lettuce seeds that I still grow each year, along with their children's seeds. I just discovered a completely dried out passionfruit from my parents' plant. No clue how old it is, but I shall be growing a bunch of them once the weather warms up. I will grow them in pots and try to keep them through next winter. Passionfruit flowers are some of the most beautiful flowers in the world.
