Mark, my buckwheat is up and going but I’ve not seen one bee or any bugs on it. Only one of the squash I planted along with it even tried to sprout. It’s just a tiny thing. So odd.
I know, this has been a weird year for my garden! Last year, I had bees all over my lavender which is right by some of the buckwheat. This has been a year of invasive nut grass and vines!! My sweet potato vines have taken over and grown over everything. The nut grass, or quack grass has invaded my strawberry beds to the point, I think i may just cover them with black plastic and start over next year. I only got one green gourd from a huge vine that spread all over one area. Very little tomatoes. Last year I had tomatoes until October! My corn kept falling over and the green beans I planted around the stalks pulled them down to the ground. The only thing that made very much was my okra. But, it grows no matter what. We had lots of water early on. Then, it got hot very quickly so tomatoes didn;t have time to set blossoms. My onions didn't have time to grow bulbs, and just went to seed.I don't know where the bees are.
Hello! Just subscribed to your channel. I found you from a helpful comment you made on Stoney Ridge. I'm looking forward to learning. Thank you for sharing what you do!
Hi Mark. I live in NJ and I have tried to grow cucumbers on my backyard. However, for the last 5 years the cucumbers vines one by one are wilt and die in middle of the summer. Any advice?
Have you tried Picolino? They are awesome. No pollination needed. The cucumber produces only female flowers and harvest is good even on a crappy soil like mine!
Hi sir…. Great video and information. This was my first year having a garden I planted 20 tomato plants in 5 gallon pail’s but probably got 10 tomatoes total LOL. But my cucumbers amaze me the most. I planted only two cucumbers but when one of them came out round I couldn’t imagine what I did wrong. I’ve never seen around cucumber. Thanks again for your videos
Can parthenocarpic cucumbers be planted next to other parthenocarpic cucumbers but of different kinds. Can Diva and Little Leaf and Corinto , all from Johnny’s Selected Seeds be planted right next to each other?
Were you a teacher in a previous life? You have an excellent manner of teaching that is very clear and understandable without talking down to people . Well done!

I don't use paint brushes for pollination. Pluck off the male flower, peal off the petals, then use that as the "brush"
weeds as trap crops, that's amazing
Wow!! Thanks Mark, I really learned something useful today ( as always) Thanks for sharing your knowledge, We are blessed to have you with us.

Just curious planting all of these cucumbers this close together won’t they cross pollinate with different varieties?
Thank you for explaining why it curls!
