I know I've started growing food since all this, going well so far. Just started getting cold here in toowoomba so i am a bit concerned about things dying
I never used seedlings before i always learned to grow from seed, i have raising some seedlings but are not having a lot of luck
I was feeling straight up stressed, a few days of weed pulling and planting, and all is right again. Now i fill may day with staring at the soil waiting for my sprouts <3

It was the act of staying home has made me get into the garden. I now have a pot garden with rosemary, basil, coriander, garlic, onion, shallots, green onion, potato, broccoli, snow peas, carrots and passionfruit going now 🙂

Thankfully I have space for a garden. It is my release the mundane and especially with this insane time we are in. I'm no green thumb, but I have a go.

We finally got our property clear of debris and have constructed a raised bed from some materials. Cauliflower broccoli and cabbage to start (many mistakes this season already). Grow enough Jerusalem artichoke and you may need the cardamom leaves in the garden.
So our tortoises are heavy veg eaters, we started growing because the super markets were pretty empty and we were worried about not being able to feed our tortoises. Grass will only feed them for so long. but now we have 5 papaya trees and a raised bed of lettuce just for them. You're absolutely right though Mark, as soon as i clock out, i'm in the back yard with my plants until the mosquitoes run me out. btw we found out their manure makes good fertilizer too.
Mark what an excellent video- I grow my veges & give most away to neighbors but it is my favorite place/ my happy place & I get in there every chance I can (I work from home also) & lost my very best mate that sent me into depression as I couldn't go fishing anymore but gardening saved my live honestly. During Covid i was home so much that i was growing onions from onions. ones that i draw a face on.
I got to admit going out to the garden to see our plants is very relaxing.

Suggestion: keep your own private stash of toilet paper and retrain the family (not to poop so often) using stinging nettles. Then slowly reintroduce the paper.
