Self Sufficient Me is based on our small 3-acre property/homestead in SE Queensland Australia about 45kms north of Brisbane – the climate is subtropical (similar to Florida). I started Self Sufficient Me in 2011 as a blog website project where I document and write about backyard food growing, self-sufficiency, and urban farming in general. I love sharing my foodie and DIY adventures online so come along with me and let’s get into it! Cheers, Mark 🙂 #storage #DIY #box

  1. Ducks need to imprint…when hatched put them on the lawn and let the follow you! They will follow you forever and do whatever you ask. They need a mom! You are their mom!

  2. I have never actually bought wire but our farm is full of it. We take at least three trailer loads to the scrap depot a year. I swear the stuff breeds.

  3. That is a great ideea. I have a bunch of mesh that I try to store in the basement using a shelf, stacked horizontally. Would be easier to access if stored vertically. I would use some bolts to keep those together as I have not seen those types of ties is my country. Thank you for sharing.
