Radishes grow quickly and easily, just make sure to plant them in the spring or fall, they don’t like the summer heat. Once the heat comes then they will bolt, but that’s okay too since you can save the seeds to grow radish microgreens throughout the year. I like the radish microgreens better than the radishes themselves 😉
By the way, you can roast or sauté radishes for a milder taste, they are delicious either way, Bon Appetite!
Hope you got the white icicles out before the 95 degrees hit you. I heard they melt in extreme heat. Good luck !
I did the same thing in Phoenix, failed!
Very pretty radishes. What do you uses for insect control, the radishes and leaves look pristine.
Thanks Tikki! Love French Breakfast radishes but White Icicle look like fun too. Hope you're having a great summer!⚘
Radishes are an easy crop to grow. I grate them into my chicken and tuna salads for an extra kick. I'll have to try to the roasting. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for the tip about taming their heat with an ice bath. I never knew that so will give it a go. I am growing Starburst radishes this fall. They’re a ‘red meat’ variety that does best in the fall and they have a gorgeous red starburst when sliced. I grew a few last fall and they did very well.
