  1. We named our red border collie puppy, Yona (bear in Cherokee) we are also natives. Hubby is Cherokee/Chickasaw and I’m Choctaw/Cherokee. I really enjoy watching your channel and how you embrace your heritage.

  2. You know you are not raising goats you raising children I don't know your plans but are you planning on kepting them or selling them As for me it I raise them on a bottle I could never get rid of them God bless you sweet lady

  3. Congrats on the closing of the house. Your husband and you look so cute together. Love the chest and picture. I live close to the Oklahoma Cherokee nation capital of Tahlequah. Cool you are taking Cherokee classes. You go girl.

  4. You cry if you want, these are happy tears. We hat an awesome gifts from your family and your family history. I am so happy for you and your family. Your husband is so funny and such a cut up, you are blessed to have each other. The kids are growing like weeds and so cute. I am so happy for you, I teared up when I saw the chest myself as family history has always been so important to me. God Bless you all

  5. The chest is such a special gift from so many generations ago. I am so happy you are embracing your roots. I think I would have a hard time with the language though, but once you get moved and perhaps use it more in daily living, it will be easier. Tell hubby, he does a great Vanna White. He's got the moves. Have a Blessed day.

  6. My aunt worked at the school library during the WPA time. One of the young men couldn't afford wood for his woodworking class and couldn't graduate if he didn't pass the class. She provided him the ceder for him to make her a ceder chest and thus graduate high school. I now have the chest full of handwork and quilt tops made by my mother and her sisters and my grandmother. It is not as old as yours but I understand how much it means to you. I am 73 so the chest will soon go to my daughter. I am so happy you have family history to treasure

  7. I wish we had Cherokee language classes here in Western North Carolina. My great grandmother was full blooded Cherokee. I want to find out more about her. Thanks for the awesome video.
