  1. New subscriber. Love your videos! You do such an amazing job of keeping things real…and Mac and cheese is a fave around here too! My mom makes it in the microwave with pepper jack pebbles (scraps that she gets super cheap at the store) I'd make it that way too, but I can't stand pepper jack cheese!

  2. Ok where is my serving i am hungry steak looks so good mac and cheese salad awsome meal thats goog old fashion northern meal you'll be a northerner yet. All you need is rolls md steamed blue crabs and shrimp

  3. I was about 15 before I even knew that box mac 'n cheese existed, and I've never eaten it, haha.
My family makes two types of macaroni and cheese. Simple version, just like yours: cook macaroni and then slice up some cheese and melt it through, bit of salt and pepper and away you go. Fancy version: Fill oven dish with cooked macaroni and delicious cheese white sauce, some vegetables, put it under the grill to make a nice browned top. Manna from heaven right there.

  4. The quality of the cheese makes a difference…I've tried several times to make it with pre-shredded cheddar..never got creamy, but the fat separated & was gritty … eww.

  5. I have to try that, haven't had macaroni and cheese since my cousins from Pennsylvania visited us here in Norway, 4 years ago! I guess I will struggle to find cheddar cheese in the store, but maybe I can use Jarlsberg cheese?

  6. Never heard of White Pepper. Did not take long to figure out why. If granny the cook did not have it in 1929 she could get by without it in 1985. Granny beat it into me to save, save, save. Well when I go to Walmart I may get that White Pepper, but it's still according to how much it cost. I am still using McCormick Spices in the Cream metal boxes.

  7. Nothing better than homemade mac & cheese, loved when my mom made it from scratch and veggies from the garden. I always loved being at my grandparents place-go to the garden-pick the lettuce/tomatoes and she would fry up some bacon and drizzle the hot bacon grease with a little apple cider vinegar mixed in-yum and and sliced cucumbers and green onions.

  8. Ummmmm……looks so good, Miss P! Love me some mac & cheese. I have never eaten, nor have I fed the box junk to my kids. (No judgement on mama's that have-it's just not my thing.) It's just not natural, and like you said, it's SO EASY to just make it from scratch!
