I started making Chicken Poop Soup thanks to the neighbors down the street with chickens and OAG 🙂
I live in PA, instead of composting the rabbit manure first, can I go ahead and spread the rabbit manure over the garden. Does rabbit manure not burn like the chicken manure? I usually compost everything first, but if I can directly apply the rabbit manure, that would save a step.
Have a wonderful tomorrow ⛄⛄⛄
As a kid, we always tried to get the coop done by mid march. Things are still frozen in February here and covered in snow. If we waited to long we would have to compost it. The thing is you needed the spring rains to kind of thin out the chicken poop a little to prevent burning crops. We also composted scraps from the kitchen and anything that would rot down. We also used old newspapers for weed control between rows, worms love it. we also kept lime around to help sweeten up the soil.
Very informative! I am loving on that Turkey X O
Thanks again for the advice. Stay warm and cozy this winter!!
I'm in Wi.and it is supposed to be 49 degrees next Saturday.
Can this gunk be spread in pastures?
I'm in idaho "melba" and I can not get anything to take off! I dont know what I'm doing wrong. My tomato plants that I grown in the past are big and green and thick, but no tomatoes.
Excited your getting closer and closer to 100,000 subs!!
Wow , those egg colors are just beautiful.
Wow, Patara, what a wake-up call. Thanks so much. I never thought of putting my poop scoop direct into the garden in early winter. A great time savings idea!
My neighbor puts his directly on his garden all growing season long. He says it works for him …but I always compost mine. Thanks for the info. Btw that chick canister was so cute!
Glad u mentioned rabbits.we raise rabbit being in big city.thanks for sharing your experience with chickens. We had 5 down to 2 life happens and our knowledge has grown.
Im in Erin, tn and so, sooo much mud lol
Miss Patara, I recently Listened to and watched the singing milkmaid vids….You, my dear, have a VERY nice singing voice, and are easily good enough to be in a group and do fairs, picnics, special church services etc ….I know because my wife, Miss Sharon, and I have over 50 years experience each doing that, and our son sang for a number of years in some of the nationally known Southern Gospel quartets, and our daughter has been a praise leader for several churches for some years….I for one would like an occasional treat of your singing in rhythm to the the squirt of milk on future videos…..Hmmm, home schooling, music lessons. I would not be surprised if you all DO HAVE a group!!!????
Patera, thank you so much for this video. O have a compost pile, but I will be getting laying chickens for the first time this spring, and I have been going back and forth on composting with coop cleanout.
That being said, I wanted to add how extraordinarily stunning you look in this vid. Your skin is positively GLOWING! Which is very uncommon during this time of year. That oceanic colored scarf is BEAUTIFUL! Love you and your channel.
I absolutely love you and your page! You are the best!
I've been loading the bottom of my new raised beds with fresh chicken manure, seems to be working out well. Take care.
Where can I find Cherokee corn seeds? Love watching you!
perfect thanks
Lol, we are all mud here in Monterey! Trying to get my coops cleaned out!!
I am taking the Master Gardner Course here in NC !
