  1. I love my green stalks..i bought ONE last yr..reg one deep pocket grew so much greens last year..
Bought the leaf planter this year which has my greens and pok choy..still a green..
But in my deep pocket one I planted sprouting broccoli and cabbage..6 inch smaller head ones and they are doing great..harvesting the broccoli regularly and 2 heads so far of cabbage..im doing beans after the cold weather crops are done..love them!

  2. Wow, it's like you're speaking directly to me and about me. I have two greenstalk towers. One is exclusively for strawberries, and the other is for leafy greens, and in the summer I switch out the lettuces for beans and my favorite dwarf tomato, the tiny Tim. I bought the towers with lettuce and strawberries in mind, it's so great to grow them off the ground.

  3. I built a strawberry tower with dollar tree stackable planters and they unfortunately dry out too quickly in our climate. I could probably make a soil mix with higher water retention, but those GreenStalks seem like they'll take care of that issue. Any idea how GreenStalks compare to the Garden Tower 2?

  4. I have 3 Greenstalks all filled with strawberries! I love the Greenstalk and plan to add 2 more later this summer. They are so worth the price and it's American made and family owned.

  5. We are living in canada, Quebec and when I try to order from your web site it says that it cannot tell me how much it would cost to ship . Could you help?

  6. I purchased 2 of the GreenStalk vertical planters late Sep 2021. I live in south Texas and planted seeds mid-Oct. thinking I would have veggies by mid-Dec. Well…that didn't happen. Guess I planted too late. So mid-April, I directly planted green bean seeds, tiny yellow onion bulbs and leaf lettuce in the GS planter. The green beans and onions germinated well and are growing nicely, but the leaf lettuce is a bust. I direct seeded in the planter, and they aren't germinating well at all. Not sure why. Maybe it got too hot too soon for the lettuce to germinate. What I have learned growing veggies in the vertical planter is – don't plant large veggies like turnips, kohlrabi, etc. There just isn't enough surface space in one pocket for multiple veggies to grow big. This year I am using grow bags too. Kevin, I bought your book about grow bags, have enjoyed reading it and learned some great information from you. The grow bags are doing well, much better than the vertical planter. It got really hot here in April, which is unusual for this time of year, and has stayed hot. I moved my grow bags and vertical planters under the outdoor pergola so they get some sun and shade with the overhead slats, hoping to ease the growing stress of 90°-100° temps. If you have any tips or suggestions for a hot climate, I would love to know. Thanks.

  7. I’ve planted red and yellow onions in my green stalks.
It’s not complete failure but bulbs did not develop well. Although leaves and stems grew so think. Probably more to do with not enough or too much plant food and hot winter(Dry LA weather) And I had Black aphids infestation. Also Noticed that higher top 3 layers grew better than bottom 2 layer. It was amazing how much roots were developed in soil. Almost too packed with roots that may be not enough soil for onions …
Next time if I do onions, I will just put it on every other pocket and only top 3 layers.
Bottom layers got more aphids than top.
It’s hard to feed plant on tower. Whenever I give them fish &kelp water, Aphids or bug goes crazy over it.
Still experimenting with this tower. But I think strawberry is better idea than onions.

  8. Hey quick question, my red dragonfruit (inside red) the flesh of the plant is turning white and it spreads then dies. What exactly is this and how can it get treated!

  9. I bought my very 1st Greenstalk after watching your video on growing beans. Now I have 6 and I use mine to grow lettuce, beans, strawberries, and misc items to see how they do compared to in my raised beds. I've tried Carrots, Peppers, Cherry Tomatoes, Jalapeno, Serrano peppers, Ancho chili peppers and Swiss Chard.

  10. I have 5 originals and 1 leaf and 2 towers I made out of a 32 gal tall trash can with holes made by a holesaw and a pvc pipe in the middle for water and feeding. All did fantastic for bush beans last year. I also got a decent yield for small saldette and cherrry tomatoes and jalepeno peppers as well as several herbs. My petunias and nasturtium did well in them too. I am switching from spring to summer plants in them now but the Swiss chard did outstanding and the spinach, brocolli rabe and asian cabbage did well too. Love these planters.
