I laughed so hard at your bug out part of your video. We actually had a mountain lion in Chicago. We live in the far west suburbs of Chicago. We have an 8’ X 11’ koi pond with a waterfall and a pondless waterfall in the backyard. When we had our two bigger dogs, two weeks before the cougar was shot in Chicago…our dogs wouldn’t go into the backyard for the last time at night. They wouldn’t go past the back corner of the house. My husband was with them and he told me he heard a cat….and it wasn’t a kitty cat. We figure the cougar was passing through that night, heard the waterfalls and came for a drink.

My husband is a retired Navy SAR. He was born in West Virginia. During survival training he caught a rattler and carried it around in a bag the rest of the day. At supper the other guys wanted some when he was cooking it up. He refused because nobody helped him carry it. When he got full , he took the rest up to the instructors.
Armadillos do carry leprosy. I am in Texas and nobody eats them.
