  1. G'day Everyone, I personally think the gardening community on YouTube is one of the best on the web. The comments section is always full of positivity, helpful tips, thoughtful questions, and motivational feedback. Thanks for your support! Cheers, Mark 🙂

  2. honestly, and this may be just me, it would had been really nice if you were able to show HOW you get seeds to grow whatever lettuce because it's not like alot of these other fruits and vegetables in that the seeds are part of the plant. in fact, i'm one of those people whom had not done such research to know how you get lettuce seeds or how to propagate lettuce.

  3. Thank you so much for your videos! I always come to your videos when I have questions on my own garden. If I don't find the answers here (rarely) go to some of your friends channels!

  4. The saddest part of tis situation is that out of the retail price the media is pushing at $8 each the farmers might see $1.50 a head by the time they pay their overheads & while self employed tuck operators are being driven to poverty by the fuel prices.

The two main supermarket chains have driven their suppliers into the ground… all while they are artificially inflating prices to pay their executives multi million dollar bonuses and blaming it on inflation.

  5. You mentioned that iceberg lettuce is the longest growing variety of lettuce, I’d like to add in the fact that it’s one of the least nutritional variety of lettuce as well. Those two reasons alone are a great reason to explore different varieties of lettuce.

  6. I really enjoy your channel. Your sense of humor is very enjoyable along with learning so much in the nine months since i began following you on youtube. Thank you and please keep your videos coming.

  7. My lettuce has self seeded throughout my lawn, and I have literally thousands of seeds I've collected, I refuse to even pay $3.50 for a lettuce that they're charging at my woolies. Especially when an iceberg was only $1.50 before covid

  8. We've just moved to a new property this year and set up a Mr Stacky hydroponic system. We've so far been able to harvest our butter lettuces and some beetroot but we have peas, strawberries, cherry tomatoes, capsicum and broccoli along with leek and mint in the one unit that has been set up. I have seeds from Diggers and will plant them in the second unit which I hope to get set up this week. I have always wanted a veggie garden so I'm enjoying it. I'll do raised beds for pumpkin and potatoes though as I can't see them growing in such a small area.

  9. Thanks for another great video. can people who only have small backyard or small balconies grow lettuce?. How small can the containers be for it?

  10. The $10 I spent on lettuce seeds to grow our family's salads has definitely paid off. My wife eats one every day, I eat them regularly. The kid not so much, but he dives in once in a while. The price of lettuce that is not iceberg at the store is nuts. And I grow some of the more expensive stuff as well. I did the math on it for how much we saved this year. We are sitting at close to $200 saved plus we aren't even close to done and I still have a ton of seeds for fall.

  11. Brother, the earth is not a she. This is the creation of our creator, God. I do appreciate your knowledge for gardening. I appreciate your time and effort in creating these vids. Keep it up.

  12. I was shocked when I saw lettuce for $9 at the supermarket. Luckily we haven't had to buy lettuce or leafy greens for years.
We grow all ours, pity we can't do the same with things like tomatoes and bananas.
You really outdid yourself with the puns in this one btw. Great video mate.
