  1. Ollas can be useful for plants that don't like mulch. I live in Australia and they are very handy during summer as it saves a ton of water. We can water heaps and it will dry out extremely quickly and may not even make it down to the roots, so an olla helps alot

  2. My kale is loosing color not sure if it’s the heat or possibly soil, not enough water or fertilization. I don’t want to over give plant food. Suggestions?

  3. This was an excellent informational learning video. Been watching your videos for years and info get more interesting all the time. Thanks.

  4. I watch this channel for the beauty. I live in southeast texas , and what a dreaaaam . Our first frost date probably it will be in December or January? Who knows . Just like 2021 we had a freeze that put texas in a blackout for day's.
But it is what it is .
    Awesome garden! God bless!

  5. I love your videos! Your so up beat and enthusiastic! Plus I love seeing the Boss eat veggies from your garden! Thank you for the gardening tips. I live in MI and my backyard doesn't get as much sun as it needs for my garden because of all the trees, so most things take longer to grow. But I think I will start now on my brassicas for fall. So far I have 4 different kinds of bigger tomatoes & 4 different kinds of cherry and or grape tomatoes, 5 different peppers, 2 different kinds of cucumbers, 3 kinds of regular potatoes, sweet potatoes, asparagus that's on its 2nd yr, kale, bush greens beans, strawberrys and many herbs & flowers. This is my 2nd year in ground gardening. And I have built 3 raised beds plus containers. I'm am looking forward to my 1st year growing potatoes. Can't wait to dig them up and see what I have grown!

  6. Anyone here with experience growing scarlet runner beans? They are a perennial bean but I'm not sure if I should plant them now or wait till next spring. I live in 7b btw.

  7. This was my first year planting my own garden. It didn't turn out very well but I learned a lot for next year. I was about to call it quits for this year until I saw one of your videos saying that it wasn't too late for some crops, so I immediately started sowing cucumber seeds. Thank you for the encouragement!

  8. I can not get Swiss chard to grow for the life of me. The seed packet had a 10% germination rate, and the few plants that did sprout are already 3 months old and still tiny. I had put them in partial shade to keep them from scorching in the sun, but it seems they just won't grow. The same exact thing happened with spinach, where I got an abysmal germination rate, and then the plants grew up weak and leggy before finally giving up. It's not like I can't grow other plants from the same family, as beets work pretty well in my container garden.
